  1. All of the EmpowerMoments have empowered me in some way. The Love Letter empowered me to ask God to forgive & enable me to forgive my mother of whom I hold a lot of bitterness with. I also dug deep down inside of myself where some things that I too had done that were hurtful to myself, others, and God. I realize that I want forgiveness for things that I have done whereas my intentions were not to hurt or harm others but it did. Thank you to all of the writers.

    1. Amber, you just made me throw a praise party in my living room. What you just wrote is so powerful. I pray God continues to bless you through this sacrifice of self, into a life of obedience and forgiveness.

      YOU ROCK!

  2. My empowermoment was when you all started this site. I always prayed to God about how I wanted to change & grow as a woman. After I started reading your stories I realized that Im not alone & there is someone that can relate to me. I also see that it takes time & a lot of effort to change. I always felt that I was not saved because of mistakes I have made & things that I am/was doing. I now know that if I aknowledge Jesus as my Lord & saviour, I praise Him, thank Him, & speak my testimony, I am Saved. Thank you ladies for helping me to see these things

    1. I couldn’t help but reply: 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile. (Romans 3:22 NIV).

Your response reminds me of the blog written on May 3, “Blessed Because He Says So.”

God bless you Tenika, you are definitely NOT ALONE.

  3. Battlefield of the Mind is one of my favorites. I appreciate Empowermoments, I am lifted every time I read them! Thanks Kristen Harris….

  4. My “empower moment” started the very FIRST day I read a post from this website. I know that nothing is a coincidence and me finding this forum for women to worship God in all his Glory and Perfectness (if that’s even a word) is heaven sent. Every day, I can’t wait until I get the reminder on my BB that I have an e-mail letting me know when your daily post is up for me to read. There have been so many posts that have touched me, the single christian lady looking for a mate that loves Jesus as much as she does…that one I really related too. I have given my life to the Lord not too long ago and it’s amazing how EVERYTHING changes when it comes to dating and finding your next mate. The dating scene is hard when you look for someone who loves the Lord like you do, but hang in there I will 😀 The other thing that has honestly hit home for me from reading your daily posts is this…..even though I have such an ugly past, done alot of things that I’m NOT proud of, hurt others, abused my body,…and the list goes on….God loves me and forgives me through his AMAZING mercy and grace. I know that he Holy Spirit is working through me because I never thought I’d be giving my life over to Christ Jesus, but Amen!!…I’m a member of First Central Baptist Church and will be baptized soon. Sincerely and honestly t
thanking all of you EmpowerMoments writers for the daily uplift I receive. May God continued bless and keep each and every one of you. God bless!! XOXO

    1. Dee,

Thanks so much for your comment! We are so excited about your future! All that you experienced in the past is apart of your story today. God is going to get the glory out of ALL of that! Im dancing for you!
Congratulations on your upcoming baptism! May God continue to keep you and bless you! Yes, God loves you and we do too!

    2. God Bless you Dee!! This is the only reason why I share my life, is so that God be edified. Praying for strength and abundance of joy along your Christian journey.

  5. I will say that The Shack is a great story if you’ve never read it! I have also read one of Stormie’s books, The Power of a Praying Wife.
I’m thankful for this ministry and look forward to reading each EmpowerMoment – they all remind me to stay grounded, humbled and focused on the most high. I can’t identify 1 posting imparticular, but I thank you ladies for being transparent in sharing life’s victories and challenges you’ve overcome. So many of the stories are ‘my’ story as well!

To Him be all glory, honor, wisdom & power!

  6. My favorite empowerment posting is: No love in the city. It really spoke to me because of a recent sibling situation. I have been trying for years to help this sibling out instead of letting God deal with them (silly me). There are people out there who really need help in knowing Jesus and I was wasting my time with her when she knew better and getting stressed in the process. I know the seed was planted and I can move on. Its so unfortunate that our closet family and friends only view where we came fom instead of where we are going.

    1. Cheneka,

Thanks so much for your post! I will keep you and your sister in my prayers because He can defnitely handle that situation. If you have planted the seed, then step back and watch God make it grow. You just contine to LOVE her for love covers a multitude of sins! Thanks for reading our EmpowerMoments!

      Good Luck in the contest!

  7. I am so blessed to be able to check my email and read such inspiration every day. This site is ordained by God and regardless of the haters, God is showing up and showing out! I am so proud of the women of the EmpowerMoments ministry (this is a ministry). Continue to keep letting God use you all because you all are devine women of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9 Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

    1. Thank you Keviyona, I am opening up my heart to receive that word God is going to pour out his blessings on all of us.

  8. Good afternoon ladies,
I’m not sure really why this was put on my spirit but here goes….though I live in Staten Island, N Y, I’d like to let all of you annointed ladies know that if I can in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM help with the website, or help you ladies in whatever you need, please do not hesitate to contact me. My personal e-mail is My sincere prayer is that this website reach all around the world, to God be ALL the glory. God bless you all!!

  9. It’s really hard to pick ONE EmpowerMoment but for this month thus far, I would say The Liquid Prayers! I love this because there were times when I thought my tears were just that my tears but now I know that God is colleecting each one of them and He has recorded each one in His book. HOW awesome our GOD is!! Thank you for this because I feel Joy on the inside becuase HE loves me just that much! Thank you!!!!

  10. I look forward to reading any postings on EmpowerMoments as they have been a blessing and given me a “wow, now let me reevaluate myself and things in my life” moments. I really enjoy all the blogs and the wonderful women who take the time to be “naked.” Thank you so much and continue working in the Lord!

  11. I must admit it took me a while to join. Chancee was really on me. I am so glad I did. There are days when someone sends the exact words I need to hear and it makes my day. I even read something that I know will encourage someone I know and have to share. It has brought not only me but two frinds to tears when I sent them Liquid Prayers and. I think It’s Not Over. I thank you ladies very much for this blog. You have no idea what it is doing for us.

  12. I am brand new to the site. My Bible Study Sister In Christ sent me this website and I have just been amazed at the right on time messages I have been reading. The one I read today on the power of the tongue convicted me. When my Bible study group went over our specific giftings I was dubbed the mouth of the group. Which can be good…..but also bad. I can be so uplifting to those around me and speak life into their situation like nobody’s business..but when it comes to my own..I tend to lean to the negative side.
I also have a challenging relationship situation that I am currently dealing with and I tend to speak very negatively about that situation and that individual. God has the power to change anything and anybody. He can soften hearts…even if he doesn’t change the situation how I speak about that situation can begin to alter me.
I am empowered to take back control over my mouth. I cannot control when and how things happen…but I can control my response to them and those around me.
    Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Renee, you just spoke power to me! Although I wrote that message, God spoke it to me, and for me. Which means, I am dubbed the mouth too (smile). But what I like about your response is that you said “Speak life into situations… alter me.” I needed to hear this today, I’m in a funky mood, and speaking life into my mood will alter my attitude and my day! Thanks for reading and posting. #altered

  13. I don’t have a favorite EmpowerMoments post, but I can truly say I have been blessed beyond measure by this site and the women who write. Each of these post challenges me to look deep within and change my outlook on various aspects of my life…THANK YOU!

  14. I just want to say thank you! I “happened” upon this site (although I don’t believe in coincidences) through Facebook and my, oh my, am I thankful! I am in a down point in life where I need some major encouragement and guidance on my walk with Him! I thank you ladies in advance for revealing parts of yourselves in order to help others, like myself! You’ll never know your true impact! I just read about and was encouraged to try fasting in order to Grow In Jesus…I can’t wait to see the outcome! Thanks so much.
    ~Babe in Christ~

    1. Hey LaToya! We are so glad that you found us! I like to say that coincidence is just Gods way of remaining anonymous 🙂 We are so blessed to have you apart of the EmpowerMoments family. We are excited about your future and you should be too! Just know that each of us were babes in Christ at some point–but the wonderful thing about your spiritual growth is that unlike natural growth, you have an active role in how fast and how much your grow. So I EMPOWER you to chase after Him with ALL you have!!!! God Bless you sister!

  15. All the Empower Moments have inspired me in some way or another. There are a few Empower Moments that I hold near and dear to my heart, but all in all they make me take a closer walk with God. Thanks for creating this site.
