Today is a day of reclamation of your position in Christ! Today is the last day that you will sit and sulk in your misery, bask and drift into your depression, and flop and fray over your shortcomings. I have no idea why I feel the need to write this EmpowerMoment with such force and urgency, but THIS IS IT! Aren’t you sick and tired of sabotaging your own happiness due to fear of the devil and his schemes? Aren’t you done with the misery and anguish of feeling inadequate? Aren’t you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Sometimes the devil makes me so mad I could just spit! Why do I get so mad? Because he is a robber, a thief and a conniver! He tricks you into thinking that you aren’t good enough, smart enough, beautiful enough, or even worthy enough to live in the abundance God has blessed us with. He even has the nerve to trick our minds into thinking that the sins of yesterday create permanent paths for today.
Well today, devil, I serve you notice, THIS IS IT! You will not bind me with fear, you will not enclose me with doubt, and you will not entangle me with insecurities. “For [God] created my inmost being; [He] knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise [Him] for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!” (salms 139:13-14 NIV) You cannot tell me that I am not made in God’s perfection. It may not be how you like or anyone else, but the way God made me was through His intent! You can’t deceive me into thinking my teeth aren’t straight enough, my hair isn’t perfect, my eyes aren’t even, or even my walk is not as graceful as you please. But God made me in HIS image, and because of that FACT I am made in His thought of perfection.
Today is the last day you will deceive me into thinking I am not good enough to receive the blessings of God. I break away from the chains I’ve allowed you to bind me with and I rest in assurance of the promises of my Father. When I am obedient to Him, His word tells me “You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” (Deuteronomy 28:3, 6 NIV) This means in any situation God has led me to, I will be blessed and you will not and shall not deceive me to believe otherwise.
I am DONE with walking in fear! Fear to believe that my business can’t grow, fear to believe that God won’t bless me with a healthy marriage because of statistics, fear of being paranoid of foolishness, and fear of encountering obstacles that God won’t give me victory over. Just like God told Jehosophat, “‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15 NIV) Not only are my battles God’s, but even before they begin I have already won through Christ Jesus.
“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ” (Romans 8:32-39 NIV)
You are awesome, magnificent, and mighty is Your name in all the Earth. Thank You for making me, molding me, and shaping me. Thank You for protection, comfort, and guidance. Father, I ask that You continue to allow me to see me how You see me. Help me to not be bound in fear but to realize who You are and who I am because of You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
Ladies, this is it! Today I EMPOWER you to walk boldly in the power of God and the blessings that manifest because of His Son in your life. Do not allow the devil to attack your mind into thinking thoughts of defeat. You are a winner; you are the head and not the tail. State today, that you will no longer allow the devil to bind and deceive you, but you will instead pray God’s power over your life.
You have the Victory!
