To Be or Not to Be

A short while ago, before I became a writer, I won a 2012 daily planner calendar from EmpowerMoments .  It may sound silly, but I won this calendar to let me know that my 2012 year is going to be full of busy, fulfilling moments.  Not only is my daily planner eagerly awaiting me to fill it with good things, it also is motivating me as I turn each page.  The first week of January speaks of Acts 2:28, “You have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy of your presence.” (ESV)  My relationship with God in 2011 has grown signafically.  This year has been more than trying, but I didn’t stop trying.  Oh, it was harder than trying to run in quick sand, but as God is my witness, it’s only for a season!  I’m praying my way through.

There is also a message on the first week of January that says, “If we learn how to give of ourselves, to forgive others, and to live with thanksgiving we need not seek happiness.  It will seek us.” (author anonymous)  WOW, what a powerful word within itself.  How amazing to know if we do the little things God will take care of the big things.  I don’t really write down New Year’s Resolutions, but this year I plan TO BE BETTER, yes BETTER!  A BETTER friend, A BETTER mother, A BETTER daughter, A BETTER sister, A BETTER worshiper, A BETTER forgiver, and an all around BETTER ME.

TO BE OR NOT BE is my mantra for 2012.  It starts with me first thinking it and then putting it into action, so that I can become the woman God has destined for me to be.  Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that for those who love GOD all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”  (ESV)  I’m excited about the BETTER things that have my name on them because I love God with all my heart!

Dear Daddy,

Thank You, thank You, and thank You for the BETTER days!  I thank You for 2011. Thank You for my growth.  I’m learning to lean on You and trust You when I can’t trace you.  I know that Your perfect will for my life is better than I can ever imagine.  I love You and I will forever give You ALL the praise! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

TO BE OR NOT TO BE…Ladies, I EMPOWER you to ask yourself are you going to speak it and BE it or just settle NOT TO BE.  Let’s BE BETTER.  What held us back in 2011, we must let it go.  This is the beginning of great things.  A new year is approaching and we are at the starting line…ON YOUR MARK…GET SET…GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
