If people only know how powerful their thoughts are, they would never think another negative thought. In fact, any action that I’ve ever taken in my life, whether good or bad, was conceived by a single thought. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” (Mark 7:21-23 NIV)
We are all familiar with the idiom, “an idle mind is the devil’s playground.” Indeed it is! There are many instances in my life where I was somewhere I was not supposed to be or doing something that I was not supposed to do, and it all began from the thought of it. But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:14-15 NIV)
I ask you to control your thoughts because in Jesus Christ you have the power to do so. When you control your thoughts, you control your actions. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and SISTERS, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:7-8 NIV)
Thank You for the power of my mind. I pray that You help me to have positive energy and great thoughts. I also pray that You guard my mind and purify my heart. Nudge me when I get off track and start to focus and think on things that do not build me up or please You. In Jesus’ name Amen!
Ladies, today I EMPOWER you to control your thoughts. Take at least 15 minutes out of the day to meditate and exercise your mind to think great things. Cast out any negative thoughts that may linger. With great thoughts come great actions!
