For the past 6 weeks, the Faith Walkers Church praise dancers have been practicing and preparing ourselves to dance for the Lord. For those of you who don’t know, I love to dance and dancing for God brings me joy! I praise God through my dancing. I feel His anointing upon me when I dance. We chose to dance to Richard Smallwood’s “Thank You.” The first time I heard this song it touched me so I was honored when I asked to do the solo. God picked me out of a crowd and chose me to be that individual who performs differently than the rest. I took it with great honor that I was chosen and promised that I would give God all of my praise through the lifting of my hands, the gliding of my feet and the graceful movement of my body. Praise is what I do!
My pastor is preaching from the topic, A Call to Praise and Worship. The definition of ‘praise’ is to commend, applaud and magnify. Psalms 150 says that we should, “Praise God in his sanctuary, praise him in his mighty heave! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises the Lord! Praise the Lord!” (NLT)
We should not do it because mama does it, nor because daddy told us too. Why should you praise Him? Because a great God, deserves a great praise! How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! (Psalm 147:5 NLT)
We must first enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. (Psalms 100:4 NLT) And we must forever praise Him! Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I ill sing praises to my God with my dying breath. (Psalms 146:1-2 NLT)
Praise is what I must do because God is too good to me for me not to praise Him! (And you should too!)
You’ve given me life, health, and joy. For this I praise You! You love me unconditionally. For this I praise You! You saved my soul. For this I praise You! You are everything to me. For this I praise You! I will forever sing praises unto Your name because You alone are worthy! I love you! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
Ladies, I EMPOWER you to praise God, worship God, praise God, worship God and repeat! Regardless of what you are going through right now, He is still sovereign and deserves the praise. Nothing that we endure is too hard for God so praise your way through! Praise is what we MUST do!
Glory, Glory, Glory! God said to be obedient and do what He asks of us. On Thursday night at our Turnaround Thursday night service, Rev. Bryant said during offering that someone here has an extra hundred dollars to give. It touched my heart because I knew I did. I was obedient and did just that. On Sunday the Pastor announced that two people were going to get their rent paid today. He asks the church to pay one and he would pay the other. The church raised over $1200 dollars that morning. When he made the announcement again he pointed to ME! PRAISE GOD!! MY MORTGAGE WAS PAID! Again, He chose me!! Thank You JESUS! Be blessed ladies!
