I had an interesting experience this week. While in my quiet time with the Lord, I started to pray about some concerns. I was crying about my finances, moaning about my kids, and groaning about failures. Shortly, after my episode while I was cooking dinner the Holy Spirit began to speak to me. He said, “You know the things you were praying about and those so called “concerns and burdens” you have? Well, I’m here to tell you they are FALSE; they are not from the Lord.” WHAT! I was baffled at His response.
Is it true that we can have false burdens? Certainly, we can. Often, the concerns we have are not intended for us to bare. Sometimes we take on things that the Lord has never intended for us to do.
What would you do if I told you that the child you been praying for is not your burden; the unsaved husband is not your burden; the doctor report that didn’t sound so great is not your burden; your singleness is not your burden; or that your finances that keep decreasing is NOT your burden?
You may be experiencing one of these troubles or a different one, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not your burden. If you are carrying any of these, it’s a false burden. Your situation may not be getting any better, but God is here to rescue you today! The Lord has a plan for every burden. Many live and die never knowing this, but today is your day!
The Lord is going to take your burdens and exchange them with His promise. He has said, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
I come to You today thanking You for Your word and asking for faith that would believe You and take You seriously. You have said that You don’t want to harm me so toady I am giving You my burdens. You said that You have plans for me so today I am receiving those plans. I declare any burden has to conform to Your word. I rebuke every lying spirit that would try to distract me from receiving Your promise and I thank You for victory in advance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
I EMPOWER you on today to cast that burden on the Lord. Look into His word and hold on to it. Focus on His word and not the situation or burden. Let your entire thoughts and words center on what the Lord says.
Share with us your confession on today of what you will focus on.
