“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 NIV
For the past two days our EmpowerMoments have been corporate prayers: prayers that unveil our grief, troubled hearts, and restless minds. They have also been prayers that remind us of God’s Word in the midst of all of our uncertainties and confusion. They’ve been gap fillers for intercession on our behalf, to the Father.
We know that our World is all out of sorts right now. In times like this we feel hopeless and overwhelmed with the thought of it all, I know I do. I read a message on my Facebook timeline the other day that read something like this, “When I look at my children peacefully asleep, I can’t help but want to protect them from the dangers of this world. But since I can’t all I can do is show them Christ.” I feel the same way. Therefore, in the spirit of EMPOWERING ourselves in Christ, let us continue to pray, for God tells us to “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV. Let us pray;
We come to You knowing that without Your grace, Your strength, Your power and Your mercy, we are nothing. Lord, sometimes we are unable to wrap our minds around our situations, our circumstances, or even decisions made by others that affect us. Please forgive us for trying to. Lord Your Word tells us, “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” Ephesians 1:11 NIV. Father, please give us the confidence to walk boldly in this Word that You work out everything as you see fit. Do Your will. God, I personally want to intercede on the behalf of my sisters, my sisters without jobs, support systems, active fathers for their children, loving husbands, and peace of mind. Lord may You grant us serenity in the midst of our circumstances. Your Word reminds us that “[Your] grace is sufficient for [me], for [your] power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV. Jesus tells me in Your Word that “[My] heavenly Father knows that [I] need all these things and that if I seek your kingdom and you righteousness, that all my necessities will be added to me. Matthew 6:32 -33 NKJV. Therefore, help me in my quest to trust You, to believe that Your Word is true and that the things I ask for in accordance to Your will, will be given to me. Lord help me to hear Your voice to stay in Your will.
Lord, bless our country. It is apparent that as the days go by we stretch further and further away from being unified under God. Lord, the blood of Your Son still works and I plead the blood over our country and nation, over every country that this Empowermoment reaches and even those that it doesn’t, every household connected to every reader, every job connected to the browser that opened this page, every hand that clicked on this link in, Jesus’ name. Jesus said “whoever believes in me will do that works I have been doing, and they will do even great things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:12-14 NIV. Lord help us to believe that You will do the work that You say You will do if we trust You. I believe that You can heal, I believe that You can restore, I believe that You can redeem, I believe that You can provide, I believe that You can grant us peace, in the name of Jesus.
Lord as we move forward throughout our day today; EMPOWER us to be mindful that You are in control. Open our ears to hear Your command, open our hearts to act on the things You have called us to do, and open our mouths that we might share positivity and the love of Christ to everyone we meet. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Daughters, I EMPOWER you to walk boldly in God’s Word, speaking life over every situation you encounter. His blood still works!
