“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”- Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP
“The the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” – Habbakuk 2:2-3 NIV
Lately I’ve been thinking about what the next step(s) should be in my life. I’m not doing bad for right now but I know that I don’t want to remain where I am. I want to be more established. I don’t want to continue to live from paycheck to paycheck trying to survive. I would like to have a career in Social Services, my driver’s license, a car before I’m 30 years old (I currently ride public transportation & walk), and have my own apartment without roommates.
I also have goals that I made for the year that I want to accomplish. Some of my goals include: 1.) To decrease my stress by taking more time out for myself and doing fun things; 2.) To work on getting my driver’s license/permit; and 3.) To obtain a job in my field. These are not all of my goals. I have put some effort towards my goals but I haven’t made an active plan on how to accomplish them. I’m thinking about creating a vision board so that I can have a visual of something to focus on. I’ve been praying for God to give me direction. I don’t want to make any bad decisions. I’ve learned my lesson in the past on moving ahead of God when it comes to decisions. I want my plan to align with God’s will. Last year, I felt as if I was getting a step closer to my purpose but I’m not there yet. I know soon that everything will come together.
Please give me direction. I don’t know which way to go. Let my plan align to Your will. Help me to stay focused on You. In Jesus ‘Name, Amen.
Ladies, I EMPOWER you to pray and ask God for his direction in your life. Wait on Him until he gives you an answer. When it gives you the answer, write it down and go from there.
Have you prayed for God’s direction? If so, what did He reveal to you?
