Approximately a year ago, my father was in a horrible car accident that left his neck broke in numerous places. When my family heard the news we were terrified because when you hear about, people usually don’t recover from neck injuries like the one he had.
I remember receiving the phone call that he was transferred to a trauma unit and placed in ICU because of the severity of the injury. At first fear tried to overtake me but I remembered For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT). On my way to the hospital, I began to pray and tell God that His Son’s blood still works. I began to trust that by His stripes my father would be healed.
When I walked in the hospital and saw my daddy lying there unable to move, I began to pray. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 6-7, NLT) I believed and so did he.
A year later, my daddy is walking/jogging 3.6 miles at least five times per week, he’s driving, and he’s living life to the fullest. Most of all he does not take for granted that nobody but God saved his life as well as gave him movement in his neck. Every time my dad gets up and tell his testimony, I get shivers because I know that He is a living testimony. Every time he talks about the accident and how God delivered him, it reminds me of when God healed the demon-possessed man: “But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.” (Mark 5:19-20, NLT)
Thank You for Your healing powers. Thank You for being a miracle worker. God, I am so grateful that Your word is the same yesterday, today and forever. God I pray that the testimonies that I give are to glorify You. I pray that You touch someone right now that has been stricken with an incurable illness and heal right now God so that You get the glory. I pray that Your virtue works through his/her body. Restore them and make them whole that they too will be a living testimony. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
Ladies, I EMPOWER you to trust and believe that God still works miracles. I dare you to give your illness, your depression, your family, your finances, your job and your whole being over to God and watch Him work. Ladies, live your life so that you are a living testimony.
