This Means War

armor of GodCharles Jenkins has a song out called “War.” This song explains what is happening in my life daily. I know that I am not the only one that created all these goals that 2015 was going to be my year to get my relationships right, to get closer to God, to live a healthier life, to surround myself with people that have a vision to prosper, to save money, and I can continue, but you get the idea. I also placed all these goals before God. Do I think God heard me? Yes. I also know that the devil heard me.

I created a plan and I said I would execute it in all areas of my life. However, my life began to feel like it was unraveling. I felt like I could not catch a break. My home life became uncomfortable and strange, and my daughter began to act strange and her behavior began to change. My finances, please do not get me started about my finances; they began to take a turn for the worse. My employer began to behave in a manner that I could not figure out why. I began to gain a significant amount of weight in a short amount of time. I could not understand what was happening to my life and then I read Ephesians 6: 10-12.

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6: 10-12, ASV).

I realized that what was happening to me was bigger than me, it was war! The devil began attacking every area of my life all at once because that’s what happens when war is declared. I thought about when the United States declares war on someone. They do not take their time and hit one place at a time or let the opposing country know what their next moves or plans are. They just ATTACK. My life is under attack because I have something the enemy wants. Satan doesn’t want my physical body even though that is what he tried to attack, he wants my spirit and my mind. He knows that God has great plans for me and of course he doesn’t want it to happen.

Yes the devil is attacking but being a King’s kid has its perks. God has prepared me for war.

Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, And on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak (Ephesians 6: 13-20, ASV).

I declare war against everything that is trying to block me from my destiny. I am preparing and strategizing daily by seeking God, praying, reading my Word, and living right. I learned that I always need to be ready for war because the devil gives no warning when he wants to attack. I am playing for keeps and the devil can’t have my family, my employment, my finances, my health, my self- esteem,  my self- worth,  my motivation, my mind, my spirit, or my anointing. I thank God that He alerts me and prepares me, He gave me everything I need to defeat the devil. This Means War!

Dear Daddy,

Thank You for equipping me with the whole armor of God — having girded my loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith I shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one and equipping me with the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. God, continue to protect my mind and my spirit from the principalities that are trying to destroy me. God, give me the strength to endure everything that the devil throws at me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ladies, I EMPOWER you to get ready and put on the whole armor of God because we are under attack. Protect your spirit and your mind while you are in battle. Pray over your family and every area of your life that is under attack. I want to EMPOWER you to always be prepared for battle because the devil doesn’t warn before he strikes. The women of God are under attack and it is our duty to go into war and win. Protect your marriage, kids, health, finances and every other areas of your life that the devil is trying to attack.

Take a moment and tell the devil THIS MEANS WAR……
